In the ongoing advancements of technology and innovation
from the automotive industry, one of the greatest
aspects of breakthroughs is in new comforts and
convenience features. Yet, even as the electric
door control feature on a new minivan is terrific for a
shopper with armloads of groceries -- a moment of
reflection can make you pause and consider what's ahead.
This brief segment is simply a momentary reflection of
what might occur to other car guys when considering just
how far "gadgets" can go in the future. It's neat
to think that a vehicle may one day follow a
drive-by-wire path on roadways for hands-free driving,
or doors may open via wireless control with other
automatic features. In a real way, we'll hope that
the best of what is ahead is in aspects of safety,
environmental sustainability and reliability.
